Definitions
Spiritual Gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit                                                                       
                       To every believer in the body of Christ for use within the context of the body
                                                For the purpose of building and expanding God’s kingdom
 
1.      Administration – The gift of administration is the special ability to understand what makes an organization function, and the special ability to plan and execute procedures that increase the organizational effectiveness of the church.
 
2.      Discernment – The gift of discernment is the special ability to know with assurance whether certain behavior purported to be of God is in reality divine, human, or Satanic.
 
3.      Evangelism – The gift of evangelism is the special ability to so persuasively communicate the gospel of Christ to unbelievers that many are led to become His disciples.
 
4.      Exhortation – The gift of exhortation is the special ability to minister woes of comfort, consolation, encouragement, and counsel to other members of the body in such a way that they feel helped and healed.
 
5.      Faith – The gift of faith is the special ability to see the Lord’s will and the unswerving confidence that He will accomplish it regardless of real or apparent obstacles.
 
6.      Giving – The gift of giving is the special desire to share personal assets with joy and eagerness so that people are helped and God’s work is advanced.
 
7.      Hospitality – The gift of hospitality is the special ability to open one’s home graciously so that guests are put at ease and are refreshed both physically and spiritually.
 
8.      Intercession – The gift of intercession is the special ability from God to pray for extended periods of time on a regular basis and see frequent and specific answers to prayer, to a greater degree than that which is expected of the average Christian.
 
9.      Knowledge – The gift of knowledge is the special ability to discover, accumulate, analyze, and clarify information which is pertinent to the growth and well-being of the body.
 
10. Leadership – The gift of leadership is the special ability to inspire, motivate, and lead others in various ministries within the body of Christ.
 
11. Mercy – The gift of mercy is the special ability to feel genuine empathy and compassion for individuals who suffer distressing physical, mental, or emotional problems, and to translate that compassion into cheerfully-performed deeds, which reflect Christ’s love and alleviate the suffering.
 
12. Missionary – The gift of missionary is the special ability to minister whatever other spiritual gifts the Christian may have in a second culture.
 
13. Service – The gift of service is the special ability to identify unmet needs in a task related to God’s work, and to make use of available resources to meet those needs for the accomplishment of desired results.
 
14. Teaching – The gift of teaching is the special ability to understand and explain information relevant to the health and ministry of the church in such a way that others will learn.
 
15. Wisdom – The gift of wisdom is the special ability to penetrate into a matter, seeing the situation in its larger context, and imparting wise counsel from God’s word.
